Pack 99 Website Terms of Use

Version 1.1 · Last updated November 2, 2026

1. About this website

This website, including its leader and parent portals, is operated for Pack 99 of Muslim Association of Puget Sound (MAPS), our charter organization, at 17550 NE 67th Ct, Redmond, WA 98052. In these Terms, “Pack 99,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to that organization in connection with this website.

The website supports pack administration, scout advancement, attendance, registration tracking, family communication, events, volunteering, and equipment records.

2. Eligibility and acceptance

Accounts are for adults aged 18 or older who are approved pack leaders, administrators, or authorized parents or guardians. Children do not have their own accounts and should not use an adult's account independently.

Each user must accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy before accessing protected website features. Your acceptance applies to your own use; it does not count as acceptance by another parent or leader. If you do not agree, do not proceed with account access and contact us for assistance.

You must also have accepted the Scouting.org and/or Active.com terms and privacy policies applicable to your registration. Those agreements govern the respective services. These Terms govern this website separately.

3. Accounts, permissions, and confidentiality

Use your own account, keep login codes and credentials private, and sign out on shared devices. Provide accurate information and promptly report incorrect family links, suspected unauthorized access, or a compromised account.

Access is limited to the permissions assigned to you. A parent or guardian may access only children linked to their account. Approved leaders and administrators may access pack information for their responsibilities and must keep that information confidential. Access to a record does not authorize its use for unrelated purposes.

Do not impersonate another person, share account access, bypass security, collect other families' information without authorization, harass users, or use website information for advertising, solicitation, or other non-pack purposes. Do not transfer personal information to outside services, including AI tools, without pack authorization.

4. Records and activities

Submit information honestly and report errors so they can be corrected. Parent-reported homework completion is subject to leader review. Completion of a requirement, earning an adventure, and receiving its physical badge are separate records.

Changes may be logged with the responsible user, recording time, and prior and updated values. A recorded change time may differ from the date an activity occurred. History is handled under the Privacy Policy's retention and deletion rules.

Pack 99 does not store or use allergy, medication, or medical-condition information in this system. Authorized den leaders must use Active.com for that information. Do not enter health information in messages, notes, assignments, uploads, or other website fields.

The website does not replace official registration or advancement systems. An RSVP or volunteer signup does not replace required event permission forms, medical authorizations, or participation requirements. Events and assignments may change or be cancelled.

5. Messages and email

Family conversations are shared with the linked parents or guardians and approved pack leaders. They are not private conversations with only one den leader.

We may send notifications about home assignments, leader messages, earned adventures, badge handouts, and outstanding follow-ups. Weekly follow-up reminders are scheduled for Saturdays at 8:00 a.m. Pacific time when there is something to follow up on.

To stop notification emails to an address, email scouts_cubmaster@mapsredmond.org. The administrator can disable notifications to that address without deleting your account or records. A login code you specifically request remains available for authentication.

Replies to weekly reminder emails go to scouts_cubmaster@mapsredmond.org, a mailbox that may be accessed by authorized pack administrators. Email replies do not automatically appear in the website's message history. Messages and email are not continuously monitored and must not be used for emergencies.

6. Photos and other submissions

Upload only material you have permission to share. For photographs of other people, obtain permission from the adults pictured and the parents or guardians of children pictured.

You retain any rights you hold in your submissions. You give Pack 99 permission to store, resize, display, and otherwise use them only as needed to operate the website and administer pack activities under the Privacy Policy. Uploading a private photo does not authorize its use on a public website, social media, or promotional materials; such use requires separate permission.

We may remove material that violates these Terms or another person's rights.

7. Availability, access ending, and deletion

We take reasonable care in operating the website, but records, email delivery, and service availability may have errors or interruptions. Confirm important arrangements with a pack leader and keep copies of records you need. Website use does not waive rights or remedies available under applicable law.

We may restrict or end access when a user's role or authorization ends, to protect families or the service, or for misuse. Contact us if you believe an access decision is incorrect.

You may request a copy or correction of your information, or request exclusion and deletion, at scouts_cubmaster@mapsredmond.org. Deletion requests are handled within 30 days after notice, as described in the Privacy Policy. Deletion from this website does not delete independently managed Scoutbook or Active.com records or cancel those registrations.

8. Changes and contact

We will make revised Terms available with an updated date and version. Material changes will be brought to users' attention and require renewed acceptance before continued protected access. Changes do not retroactively authorize new uses of personal information.
